Sailing

Since 1871, Toms River Yacht Club has built a rich legacy at the Jersey Shore. The club held its first regatta on July 26, 1871 and since then the TRYC has championed the sport of sailing. We host local, national, and international sailing events. Additionally, the club runs one of the finest junior sailing programs in the area, making the sport accessible to all ages.

BOATING

Boating activities at the Toms River Yacht Club are not limited to racing. The club marina has 90 slips available to its members. Keeping your boat at the club is another way to enhance the benefits of membership.

RACING

TRYC hosts some of the most recognized one-design regional and national championships including but not limited to the Flying Scot, Ensign, MC-Scow, WASZP, Lightning, and E-Scow classes, plus other PHRF (Performance Handicap Racing Formula) races. TRYC is a member and a major sponsor of the Barnegat Bay Yacht Racing Association (BBYRA) providing our fleet of support boats throughout the 10 weeks of the Championship Series. The club also provides an informal sailboat race series on every Wednesday evening throughout the summer months known as the “Sunset Sail”.

MARINA

The club marina has 90 slips available to members at reasonable rates. Members who store boats elsewhere and wish to come to the club by boat, the club provides guest slips. Dry storage is also available year-round on our grounds.
